Learn the Tarot…
The College of Metaphysical studies is pleased to announce Tarot
course to be held every SECOND SATURDAYS OF JUNE (14th), JULY
(12th), & AUGUST (9th) from 10AM - 4PM starting on JUNE 21st. It
will be held at the CMS Clearwater Campus, 18514 U.S. 19 N,
Clearwater & the instructor is Carla Beetar. Tuition is $75.00 per 6
hour class session. This course will consist of the 22 Major arcana,
Layouts and utilizing and interpreting the cards. All
participants must bring a Rider Waite Tarot deck to classes.
 The
word Tarot strikes a hidden chord, the love of mystery, in the
hearts of many when they first look upon the & beautiful cards of
the Tarot. Questions are asked immediately. This course is designed
to give you a comprehensive understanding of the Tarot as well as
encouraging as much as possible your own study and involvement in
the learning process. Some of you may want to study the Tarot in
order to interpret the cards for others; some may wish to use it as
an aid in personal growth & development. We hope that most of you
will wish to do both.
 The
standard tarot deck consists of 78 cards divided into two sections,
the major & minor arcanas. The 22 cards of the major arcana are the
heart of the deck. Each of these cards symbolizes some universal
aspect of human experience. They represent the archetypes –
consistent, directing patterns of influence that are an inherent
part of human nature. The major arcana cards are special because
they draw out deep & complex reactions. The symbolism is subtle, but
effective. A major arcana card is always given extra weight in a
reading. When one of these cards appears, you know the issues at
stake are not mundane or temporary. They represent your most basic
concerns - your major feelings & motivations. Different schemes have
been developed to show how the cards form patterns that cast light
on the human condition. Numerology, astrology and other esoteric
sciences often play a role in these schemes.
